Seasonal Camping & Rates
Yes. Shady Rest is an exclusive seasonal community. Our sites are contracted for the full season (May 1st through October 31st), so you can settle in and stop packing up every weekend. Build a deck, set up your fire pit, and make it yours.
To make budgeting easier, we follow a deposit schedule: October 1st and February 1st, with the remaining balance due by April 15th.
Connectivity & Amenities
We don’t provide park-wide WiFi — most people come here to unplug. Cell signal is strong for most carriers, and many campers bring their own Starlink systems, which work well here. You’ll have no trouble staying connected when you need to.
Yes! We welcome electric golf carts. Gas-powered carts and ATVs are not permitted.
River Safety & Winter Storage
Safety is our priority. We actively monitor NOAA river gauges and alert campers early when levels are rising. In the rare event of a historical flood forecast, we open the gates and provide access and assistance to help you move your unit to higher ground. Most seasons this never comes up, but we have a plan when it does.
Yes, winter storage is available as an add-on exclusively for current seasonal campers.
Boating & Local Area
Yes. We have a private boat ramp providing direct access to the Ohio River. Access is reserved for current campers.
